Do you feel conflicted and confused about your purpose and meaning in life? Are you struggling with the relationship that you have with yourself and others? To live is to experience human struggle; human struggle within ourselves and with others. Navigating life’s challenges and problems in uncertain times can feel lonely and overwhelming. Thoughts, emotions and behaviours make it difficult to live in the present, leaving us anxious and unsettled about the future. Although we cannot choose our struggles, every human being has within themselves the power and freedom to navigate their pathway forward.
Together, in a supportive and inclusive space, we will work collaboratively toward identifying your needs and developing a plan. Through skills building, using resources, and evidence-based therapy models, you will be able to access new understandings of yourself, leading to a balanced, intentional and meaningful life full of hope.
With over 30 years of experience in education, through a lens of advocacy and equity, I have worked with children, families, colleagues and the community to meet the unique individual needs of students in areas such as academics, learning skills, self esteem, behaviour, and mental health. I am keen to work with helping professionals, parents, women, the LGBTQ+ community and seniors. The COVID-19 pandemic has brought forth new mental health challenges, including stress, loneliness, anxiety and depression. I am here to listen, support and share in our common humanity - life!

I am a student psychotherapist with a background in nursing, offering a holistic and empathetic approach to support individuals navigating life’s challenges. Whether you are dealing with caregiver burnout, coping with the emotional toll of illness, managing stress or depression, striving for work-life balance, or seeking help with perinatal or postpartum mental health, I am here to guide you through these difficult times.
My professional journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, where I gained a deep understanding of human health, disabilities, and diseases. My diverse nursing experiences, particularly in mental health and maternity, inspired me to pursue a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP). I am passionate about mental health and its intersection with physical health, and I am especially focused on perinatal and postpartum mental health.
I am currently completing my practicum at Roots In Wellness, where I approach each therapeutic relationship with warmth and a person-centered approach, tailoring my methods to meet your unique needs and goals. I am committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can be heard, valued, and supported.
On a personal note, I am fluent in both French and English, having grown up in Quebec and later moved to Ontario. I live with my husband, son, and three cats, and find balance through outdoor activities like biking, swimming, and skating. My personal experience with therapy has deeply influenced my work, and I am eager to offer the same transformative support to others.
Helping others has always been my passion, and I would be honored to join you in your journey toward healing and growth.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist currently working exclusively with the LGBTQ2S+ community. My approach to therapy involves working with my clients to identify areas of difficulty in their lives, and helping them to move towards their values. I emphasize a client-centred approach, recognizing that each individual is unique and thus requires unique treatment and care. My sessions are done over Zoom, a secure video conferencing platform, so that my clients can see me in the comfort, safety, and convenience of their own homes – no more running around trying to find time to get to therapy!
I have experience providing support to the LGTBQ2S+ community, and strive to provide a safe, supportive, non-judgmental space for you to discuss your difficulties, explore any confusing or difficult territory, and get to know yourself a little better. As an ally, I hope to provide you with the support to make any necessary changes that will help you move forward in your life.
In addition to general therapy or counselling sessions, I also offer consultation and support sessions to help you on your journey. Consultation sessions are available to the trans community for those who want to learn more about transitioning, but who do not feel they could benefit from therapy at this time. Supportive consultation sessions are designed for friends and family members of the LGBTQ+ community to learn more about how they can support their friends or family members.
